I choose to shine,

Shine even amid the darkest clouds….

For I might rest,

But I never give up in life….

With a heart so soft,

I must stay conscious,

Conscious of who I am letting myself know…

For most of the folks out there,

Dig deep into the heart and kill it….

But,

Having been hurt time and again,

This time,

I choose to shine….

Shine by prioritizing my heart,

My feelings,

Instead of,

Caring,

Caring about the people around…

So,

I am here,

Here to shine,

Shine in the journey of life….

Wearing a shield of the smile,

I choose to shine,

Keeping what ‘others will say, or feel”

At bay….
